DBI: Rising Steep Discounts on Weak Product Demand

While many retailers were successful  during COVID transitioning in store brick and mortar activity online, our email intelligence indicated the opposite for DBI’s Designer Shoe Warehouse. Our key measures of promotions, incentive offers and steep discounts continued to show huge YoY gains.  DBI was pushing out a greater volume of offers with increasingly aggressive language in order to move shoes.
